We offer a selection of three door frames to suit your needs. Choose from our maintenance free vinyl-wrapped Excalibur frame, a Metal Clad frame, or a Wood frame that can be painted or stained to suite your décor.

Excalibur

The Excalibur Door Series is our most popular & premium entry door system. This configuration features a wood substrate wrapped in a heavy PVC coating to provide a flawless finish, maximum protection from the elements, and a lifetime of low maintenance & high performance.

Wood

A traditional wood frame is available in primed (for use when painting) or stain grade pine (for staining).

Stain Grade Pine is an excellent frame choice to match Award’s line of stainable woodgrain fiberglass door slabs:

• Designed to work with any door slab or hardware.
• Can accommodate a variety of brickmoulds and trims.
• Available in multiple sizes and configurations.
• Can be finished to match or accent any colour.
• Ideal to stain to compliment stainable fiberglass doors.

Primed frames are constructed from kiln-dried finger jointed pine for maximum strength.

• Finger jointed pine construction for maximum strength and straightness.
• Primed finish to allow for custom paint.
• Constructed to work with any door slab or hardware.
• Designed to integrate a wide variety of sidelites and transoms.
• Can accommodate a variety of brickmoulds and trims.
• Available in multiple sizes, determinations, and configurations.

Metal Clad Wood

Featuring a maintenance free, metal clad exterior and a primed or clear finger-joint interior (full stain grade on outswing doors), Award’s metal clad frames are a great way to add color to your homes exterior.

• Available in 12 exterior colors: white, beige, cashmere, taupe, clear anodized, sable, sage green, hunter green, redwood, brown, slate grey and black.
• Finger jointed pine construction for maximum strength and straightness.
• Primed interior to allow for custom paint or un-primed to allow for interior staining.

Stainable Fibreglass

Woodgrain Fiberglass Slabs

• Woodgrain fiberglass skin can be stained or painted to suit your décor
• Dent resistant skin provides increased protection and durability
• Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) stiles and rails to prevent warping
• Available in a wide variety of embossing patterns

Smooth Fiberglass

• White smooth fiberglass skin is ready to be painted any color
• Dent resistant skin provided increased protection and durability
• Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) stiles and rails to prevent warping
• Available in a wide variety of high-definition embossing patterns which provide excellent shadow lines.

Steel

• Available in a variety of embossing patterns
• Vastly improved thermal properties over traditional wood doors
• Custom sizing is available
• Suitable for cost conscious projects or low traffic areas
