Overview

• The elegance of metal clad combined with the durability and low maintenance of vinyl.
• Available in white or beige vinyl interior to match your colour scheme.
• Fully extruded aluminum cladding available in twelve colours. Enhanced Colour Protection (ECP) – which utilizes acroflur paint, a Kynar^® based coating – is added to darker colours to resist fading and chalking.
• Steel reinforcement is added within vinyl components to provide necessary structural rigidity without the need to apply “add-on” reinforcement to the interior of the window which can interfere with blinds and other window treatments.
• Continuous head and sill design ensures a watertight frame, a continuous nailing fin and stronger configurations compared to mulled systems.
• Designed for thermal performance equivalent to or in excess of traditional vinyl windows.
• Extruded gaskets separate metal from glass to block thermal transfer and air boundaries between aluminum and vinyl create optimal thermal performance.
• Double or triple glazing available with three Sol-R^® glass options to maximize energy efficiency.
• Sleek Truth Encore^® folding hardware available in eight colours.

Provides the highest levels of year-round comfort and energy savings, making it the perfect glass for any location.

Sol-R® SHIELD 270™ – SOLAR CONTROL GLASS

Where solar control (unwanted head gain through the glass) is required, Sol-R Shield 270 is an ideal choice.

Sol-R® GAIN 179™ – HIGH SOLAR GAIN GLASS

Sol-R Gain 179 provides excellent insulating capability in cooler weather and is well-suited for passive solar applications.

  • Good Performance – a double-glazed insulated glass unit with a single LoE coating and one argon-filled airspace between the panes.

NEAT™ Naturally Clean Glass Neat glass harnesses the power of the sun’s UV rays to loosen dirt so water can rinse it away, leaving windows spotless.

Colour Choices

Grills

Add beauty and distinction to your home with Award grills, available in a variety of designer colours, sizes and patterns. Please note, grills are not available for triple glazing.

Sizes:

Choose from 5/16″, 5/8″ or 1″ grill bars.

Colours:

Choose from white, beige, gold, brushed brass, pewter or black.

Grill Patterns:

SDL / SML

SDL = 1″ Simulated Divided Lite Option

Gienow’s SDL offers a traditional look without sacrificing energy efficiency. Metal clad bars are adhered to the exterior surface of the sealed unit and wood bars to the interior. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass.

SDL = 2″ Simulated Divided Lite Option

Gienow’s 2″ Simulated Mullion bar creates a bold appearance of 2 separate windows. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass. SML’s can be used on their own or in combination with 1″ SDL bars.

Hardware:

Award casement and awning windows feature sleek Truth Encore® hardware in eight stylish colours. Truth Encore® hardware conveniently folds away and will not interfere with most window coverings. Multi-point locks in matching colours are standard.
