How Neat Glass Works

A thin, invisible titanium dioxide coating harnesses the power of the sun’s UV rays to loosen dirt so water can rinse it away, leaving windows virtually spotless.

Durable silicone dioxide treatment makes glass smoother as it ages so water disperses evenly, sheets off and evaporates quickly, greatly reducing water spotting.

When water (either rain or water sprayed on the glass) hits the ultra-smooth surface, it disperses evenly, sheets off and evaporates quickly, washing away the grime and leaving glass almost spotless.

Please note, Neat is only available with Sol-R® Shield 270™ and Sol-R® Shield 366™.

Heavy, impact-resistant extruded aluminum components.
1-7/8″ thick sash is industry leading in strength and aesthetics.
Reinforced frame corners with molded structural corner keys are injected with silicone to ensure durability and resistance against water and air infiltration.
Sash components connected with sealed and mechanically fastened mortise and tenon joints.
Interiors feature select stain grade kiln-dried Western pine, precision machined to a smooth finish. Stain grade wood allows for ease of staining or painting.
Fully extruded aluminum cladding available in twelve colours. Enhanced Colour Protection (ECP) – which utilizes acroflur paint, a Kynar^® based coating – is added to darker colours to resist fading and chalking.
Double or triple glazing available with three Sol-R^® glass options to maximize energy efficiency.
Screens available in seven prefinished colours plus stainable wood grain that allows you to match your interior finish.
Sleek Truth Encore^® folding hardware available in eight colours.

Sol-R® SHIELD 270™ – SOLAR CONTROL GLASS

Where solar control (unwanted head gain through the glass) is required, Sol-R Shield 270 is an ideal choice.

Sol-R® GAIN 179™ – HIGH SOLAR GAIN GLASS

Sol-R Gain 179 provides excellent insulating capability in cooler weather and is well-suited for passive solar applications.

Grills

Add beauty and distinction to your home with Award grills, available in a variety of designer colours, sizes and patterns. Please note, grills are not available for triple glazing.

SDL / SML

SDL = 1″ Simulated Divided Lite Option

Gienow’s SDL offers a traditional look without sacrificing energy efficiency. Metal clad bars are adhered to the exterior surface of the sealed unit and wood bars to the interior. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass.

SDL = 2″ Simulated Divided Lite Option

Gienow’s 2″ Simulated Mullion bar creates a bold appearance of 2 separate windows. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass. SML’s can be used on their own or in combination with 1″ SDL bars.

Hardware:

Award casement and awning windows feature sleek Truth Encore® hardware in eight stylish colours. Truth Encore® hardware conveniently folds away and will not interfere with most window coverings. Multi-point locks in matching colours are standard.
